The library manager tool allows you to choose parts to paste into the schematic.

The library dialog has a
directory box (top) and four panels:
The Directory box is used
to specify a library path.
The up arrow moves up in the directory
tree.
The button "Default library path" points
the library
editor at the installation directory.
The
Directories panel is used to move through directories.
The Libraries panel is used to select a library.
The Symbols panel is used to select a symbol.
The Thumbnail panel
displays a graphic of the selected symbol.
When a library directory has been found valid libraries are displayed in the Libraries panel. Selecting a library then updates the Symbols panel showing symbols contained within the library. Once a symbol is selected its thumbnail is displayed.
When the 'Select Symbol'
button is pressed the new symbol is
shadowed
into the schematic. The shadow can be dragged around the
schematic until its final position is satisfactory. Clicking
the
left mouse button places the symbol into the schematic.
Clicking
the right mouse button cancels the pasting action.
For multiple part symbols
the shadowed symbol is updated after each
part
placement i.e. placing multi-part symbols is easy.
For example if you use the
same symbol as shown in the dialog above then on four left clicks there
will be four NAND gates
all having the same identifier but different part and pin
numbers.
There are two extra controls for the thumbnail view 100% and Part :
The 100% checkbox when set
displays the symbol as if the zoom level
for the schematic were set to 100%.
The part dropdown box displays the relevant part and is only useful for multi part symbols.
Notes
Panel Sizes
Note that the panel sizes
can be changed using the sliders between
each panel. To view a larger thumbnail increase the thumbnail
width by its slider to the left and change the size of
the whole dialog. Re-select the part and it will be
re-drawn to fill the thumbnail area.
Symbol description
A description
of the symbol is displayed below the thumbnail; this
changes when a new part is selected.
