Menu: Tools --> Library Editor

After selecting OK from the attribute dialog (see Creating library part attributes) a screen similar to the main schematic screen is displayed:

Some of the main toolbar controls have been removed as they are not relevant to drawing library parts e.g. drawing wires or connections is not valid.  One new tool added is the pin tool (see the Pin tool).

Any attributes that were set visible are displayed on the screen - these should not be edited here just placed around the new symbol in any desired positions.

Use the main toolbar to draw the required shapes for the symbol; add any extra text and add pins using the pin tool.   The 'Check library part' button of the screen must be hit before exiting using the OK button.  This button checks that all pins on each page are aligned to the 10 pixel grid.

When satisfied hit OK to accept the part.  You return to the Library editor dialog where the new part can be accepted or rejected.  If you are not completely satisfied with the part accept it and re-edit it rather than starting again.

Note : If a multi part object has been set up from the attribute editor then multiple schematic pages (one for each part of the object) will be displayed; these are used in exactly the same way as the single page.
